President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Abuja, Nigeria’s capital from Sochi, Russia where he participated in the maiden edition of the Russia-Africa summit.
 The presidential aircraft conveying the Nigerian leader and some members of his entourage landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 5.25 p.m, a terse statement on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, by Bashir Ahmad, the Personal Assistant on New Media to the President confirmed.

2. Court Orders Maina To Be Remanded In Prison

Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered that Abdulrasheed Maina, the former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT) be remanded in prison custody. The judge gave the order on Friday when Maina was brought before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team Abdulrasheed Maina on Friday pleaded not guilty to the 12 counts preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at a Federal High Court in Abuja. This arraignment is coming after Justice Folashade Ogunbanjo ordered the forfeiture of 23 property linked to Maina, following an ex parte motion filed by the EFCC
