A rights group, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) wants to know how much money the Federal Government, state governors and council chairmen, spend on the unaccountable security votes every year. The group has now sued President Muhammadu Buhari, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, asking the Federal High court to order them to disclose details of allocations.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu , has told the Nigerian Government what they will do before he will sit down with them to discuss issues concerning the Biafra struggle. 
The IPOB leader was quoted in a statement made available by the media and publicity secretary of IPOB, Emma Powerful as saying that he was ready for dialogue if the Nigerian Government was willing to talk honestly and consider a referendum on self-determination for the Biafran people that will take place in a neutral space and organized by the United Nations.

15. Fashola Reacts To Backlash Over Bad Roads Statement

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has clarified his comment over complaints by Nigerians on the deplorable state of federal roads across the country, saying he was misquoted.
Speaking over the weekend during his visit to Ondo State to inaugurate some road projects funded by Chief Micheal Ade-Ojo, popularly known as Elizade in Ifedore local government area of the state, Fashola explained that he never used the word ‘exaggerated.’

16. CAN Reacts As NYSC Expels Corp Members Who Refused To Wear Shorts, Trousers

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has condemned the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for expelling two female corps members who refused to wear trousers or shorts. The scheme had expelled Okafor Love Obianuju and Odji Oritsetsolaye from the 2019 Batch C Stream 1 in Ebonyi camp on Saturday. Reacting to the expulsion, the Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the CAN President, Rev. Adebayo Oladeji, said the NYSC should be more tolerant when it comes to religious matters.
